A sepia tone full length carte-de-visite of a woman in a plaid dress. Captured standing for her portrait, a woman with long dark hair styled in an updo, wears earrings and a floor length ruffled plaid dress. She rests her proper right hand on the back of a plush cord embellished chair. There are two rings on her proper left hand, a floor length curtain to her proper right, and a plain wall behind her. On the reverse of the carte-de-visite is the photographer’s imprint: [J. G. BRAYTON, / NAPA. / Additional copies may be had at any time.] along with "Jennings" and numerical inscriptions in graphite.
