Pearl Harbor Commemorative Medal awarded to Ck2c George Francis Bland The medal is attached to the bottom center of a blue, black, and white neck ribbon. The bronze medallion has been mounted inside a bronze coin bezel. The bezel has a small, round bead at the top, just below the bezel hole. The bezel has been threaded through with a jump ring. The jump ring is attached to the center bottom of the neck ribbon’s V-shape. The obverse of the medallion features an embossed image of a smoking battleship. Embossed text printed around the top edge of the medallion reads [REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR] and [DECEMBER 7, 1941 ] printed along the bottom edge Small embossed text centered just below the ship reads [ACT OF / CONGRESS / 1991]. Embossed on the reverse is a United States eagle device; a bald eagle perched on a laurel branch with its wings spread. Embossed text below reads [FOR / THOSE WHO / SERVED]. Embossed text along the bottom edge reads [“A DATE WHICH WILL LIVE IN INFAMY”]. The neck ribbon features four white and navy blue alternating stripes with two, thin royal blue stripes in between.
