Uniform cap worn by a Pullman porter

A uniform cap used by a Pullman porter. The cap has a stiff, black crown and a black plastic visor. Metal buttons are on both sides of the cap where the visor meets the crown. The buttons are silver colored with the word “PULLMAN” on it. A white corded strap connects both buttons and rests on the visor. A brass colored plate at the front of the cap has black lettering that reads “PULLMAN / PORTER.” The cap has a faux leather band on the inside with a sticker adhered to it that reads “6 7/8.” A label on the inside of the cap reads “RUBY’S / UNIFORM CAPS / 205 W Madison St / CHICAGO.”
