An albumen print on cabinet card depicting a group picking watermelons in a field. The photograph shows four (4) men and four (4) women standing in a large field, some carrying watermelons or bags. Three (3) of the women have watermelons balanced on their heads. A wooded forest borders the back edge of the field. The photograph is faded with a yellowish tint and mounted to a piece of board with rounded corners that is green on the front and gray on the back. A small hole is located at the top center of the backing board. The back is printed with text identifying the series and photographer.
