A black-and-white photograph of an unidentified man photographed at the Ball & Sons studio in Seattle, Washington. The photo is mounted on dark-colored pasteboard stamped with the Ball & Sons logo and store location on the bottom of the front side. The man is wearing a dark suit with a double-breasted jacket and a necktie. He is standing to the left of a small table and his right hand is resting on a book on the table. Written in graphite on the reverse of the mount is a date range and markings from a former owner.
