Franklin and Spears sit on either end of a desk facing the camera. They are both holding books in their hands and looking down towards the books. Thompson stands in the center background of the photograph behind the desk. The date is handwritten just below the image on the front of the photograph. There is also a handwritten inscription on the back that identifies the subject and date of the photograph.
