His left arm is bent at the elbow and resting on a tree stump. His right hand is holding a pair of gloves. His cavalry kepi hat is displayed on the tree stump next to the soldier’s arm. The man is standing on dried grass or hay in front of a panted background of a fence and sunflowers. Printed on the card beneath the photograph is “A. Millen.” The back of the card is blank.
