A sepia tone carte-de-visite of a young girl. Captured standing, a dark-haired girl poses for her portrait wearing earrings, a frilled collar, heeled dark boots, and a bright top and skirt combination. She is flanked by an ornate wall backdrop as she rests her proper right arm on the back of a tufted chaise-lounge. A folded cloth lies on the floor behind her. On the reverse of the carte-de-visite is the photographer’s imprint: [J. G. BRAYTON, / NAPA. / Additional copies may be had at any time.] along with "Jennings" and several numerical inscriptions in graphite.
