Medium: silk, cotton and metal Technique: There are two warps [one yellow silk, one grey or ivory silk], and two wefts [one yellow cotton, one ivory cotton]. There is an interesting interplay between the ground fabric and the ground fabric and the various brocaded metal-wrapped yarns. [The metal and red silk are brocaded.] E.g.: gold with yellow cotton, silver with ivory cotton. Note: use of metal. E.g.: metal strips wrapped on silk yarn, flat metal strips, "kinky" metal-wrapped yarn.
