Design for a doorway with figures and dogs. Upon pediment the royal coat of arms. At left, allegorical figure of History or Fame, a winged female with a trumpet, tries to drive away Time, a woman with a skull-like face, who holds a mace in her left hand and supports the crown with her right hand. Garlands and drapery festoons hang on pediment and door frame. A grand curtain hangs down from the ceiling, falling behind the coat of arms. In doorway, a monk and a gentleman. Six dogs are on steps and street. On each side of the doorway, pairs of men. In graphite, one thin framing line.
