Iceberg and Ice Flower, Canada

Landscape sketch showing a view of a tall, sharp iceberg and a frozen formation resembling a flower or whale's tail in the waters off Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Dominating the composition at center, the iceberg is roughly pyramidal in shape with sharp, pointed top and bands of aquamarine ice at its midpoint and its base. Affixed to this berg at left is a small, frozen formation resembling a flower or the tail of a marine mammal. Dark, purple-brown ocean waters ripple around it. On the horizon at left, another immense iceberg captures the pinkish orange glow of the setting sun. A long bank of clouds hangs above the horizon in a sky gradating from pink to greenish blue.
