Most of a border of geometric pattern lozenges, some containing adages: "Forget me not," "Token of Love," and "Respect," worked in brown, green, and beige. The sampler was added to at a later date, with spot motifs in bright colors, some geometric but also including a lamb, dogs, a butterfly, baskets of flowers and a teakettle.
