The poetry of the 1709 Amber ragamala series describes Bangali Ragini thus:Her sari, soaked with kesara [saffron], is enchanting.[Her] musk caste mark at the forehead bewitches themind. The lovable [has] matted locks and ash in her[?]palms. [She has] smeared srikhands [white sandalwoodpaste] all over her body. The trident in her arm isresplendent. Such is the beauty of Bangali.
