Portrait of Bessie Fox, later Bessie Fox Pease, the mother of Captain Harl Pease, Jr. and Charlotte Pease. Charlotte was involved in getting the Pease Public Library to its currently location, the land of her family home. Harl won the Congressional Medal of Honor posthumously, and is who the Pease Air National Guard Base in Portsmouth is named after.
