Folio 44v: Faridun Receives a Message from Salm and Tur

Faridun divides his kingdom among his sons, Salm receives Rum, the Byzantine empire; Tur rules Central Asia and China, a land known as Turan; and to Iraj falls Iran. In their distant dominions Salm and Tur grow envious of Iraj and, plotting, send a messenger to threaten. Faridun with war unless Iraj is also sent abroad.
