Not signed, but on the back of the board is inscribed: “van Lely.”* Gilded, profiled frame (trol. secondary). * Sir Peter Lely, born Pieter van der Faes 14 September 1618 in Soest, North Rhine-Westphalia, died 30 November 1680 in London, was an English painter of Dutch origin.
