Framed oil painting on canvas. The frame is profiled and black lacquered with a gilded edge. The picture shows a thatched house and some trees with a lake in the foreground. The painting is signed: NLB. Giver informs that the painting allegedly dates from 1896, when the painter lived in Silkeborg. The frame has yielded in the corners and the canvas is yellowed and dirty. Giver informs that the painting of the painter was given to two ladies who after about 35 years accidentally encountered the painter’s son-in-law and thought he should have the painting. This later gave the painting to her sister-in-law - the painter’s eldest daughter who lived in Aarhus. According to all judgements, the place of motivation should be found around Silkeborg.
