Seated dervish holding a flower, attributed to Reẓā `Abbāsī (d. 1635). Album folio, ink, colours and gold on paper, mounted on card, tinted drawing of a smiling dervish seated holding a flower, with later Persian inscription (“raqam-e kamtarīn [...] fī shahr-e Jumada al-ukhra sanat 997H, below), within ruled borders on grey paper frame with gold foliation, on cream paper frame with inset Persian verses in nasta`liq script, on narrow cream paper frame with dark silver chevron lines, all mounted on cream card album folio with gold-painted plants and insects and oxidised silver patches, blank green fibrous verso, attributed here to Reẓā `Abbāsī (d. 1635), probably Isfahan, Iran, undated, c. 1590-1600.
