Summary: Representation of the corvette Discovered, accompanied by the description of the individual state of the apprehension, armament and supplies of both corvettes with a thorough and detailed explanation, at the foot, of the characteristics of the ships: dimensions, velamen, weapons and ammunition, individualized endowment of the two corvettes, scientific instrumentation, food, clothing, objects to change with the Indians, and finally, an approximate calculation of the weight that goes The corvettes called Descubre and Atrevida were the vessels that formed part of the Malaspina expedition, which took place between 1789 and 1794. Commander Alejandro Malaspina, under the command of the Discover, lead this expedition organized by the Spanish crown to tour his American possessions, according to a plan presented by the sailor himself. The material gathered is scattered in different institutions of Spain, England, Argentina and Chile. This document is signed by Malaspina and Bustamante, on board the Discover in the Bay of Cadiz on July 30, 1789.
