Dellbeck, Johan
The picture has been taken in connection with the cultural historical characterization of Västeråker’s church, Västeråker’s parish, Uppland 2005. According to a drawing of Peringskiöld from 1707, the cemetery had a high courtyard wall with a slash roof, as well as two risers, one in the west and one in the south. Today, the cemetery is surrounded by a graystone wall and a tree wreath of deciduous trees. The Stiglucks have been demolished for a long time. The entrance to the west has a rather monumental mark with its two broad, trimmed gate poles, flanked by two large rune stones that were previously embedded in the base of the weapon house. The cemetery aisles are gravel covered. The grave quarters are grassy. The cemetery has a large element of tombs from the first part of the 18th century and the 19th century. Particularly prominent is the von Essenska tomb east of the church. It is a gravel tomb with a stone frame and a cast iron fence, as well as numerous lavish burial yards in stone and cast iron from the 1800s. To the south of the House of Arms there is a tombstone in the form of an obelisk, traveled in 1799 over the parish priest Paulus Johannis who died in 1600.
