In June 1885, Mr. Bolus sent a drawing of this species, made from a living plant which was sent by Mrs. Saunders, Natal, to the Cape Botanic Garden. Mr. Bolus provisionally named it "Angraecum Saundersiae, Bolus No. 6185." More information given. From
