Group C I. Shirt, domestics for mean, middle of the 18th century, France. Shirt of white cotton fabric with a few blue stripes. The collar is sewn, upright. On the opening of the chest are two buttons and on the collar one; all buttons are small, white and made of legs. The same kinds of buttons sit on the squirt of sleeve covers, one on each. On the back of the shirt there is a stamp: “Paris”... f.island. illegible. The shirt has a paper label, on which it says: Equipements militaires, Chauveau & Blanc, Succes: rs de blanc Ainé, Rue des Petits Hotels 26, Pres la Place Lafayette, Paris. On the other side there is a label: red seal. Modele Ministéeriel, 2 tailles 1/3 - 1 2/3 - 2 Avant la guerre d “Amerique 2.50 fr Aujourd” hui Mai 1864 4.50 fr.
