Group C I. Shirt, domestics for mean, middle of the 18th century, France. Shirt of white cotton fabric with a few blue stripes. The collar is sewn, upright. On the opening of the chest are two buttons and on the collar one; all buttons are small, white and made of legs. The same kinds of buttons sit on the squirt of sleeve covers, one on each. On the back of the shirt there is a stamp: “Paris”... f.island. illegible. The shirt has a paper label, on which it says: Equipements militaires, Chauveau & Blanc Fils, Succes: rs de blanc Ainé, Rue des Petits Hotels 26 et 28 Paris. On the other side there is a black seal and the inscription: Chemise a coton, a livrer sur 2 tailles (shirt made of cotton fabric, delivered after two cuts). Fr.2.40 (probably the price).
