8.9.1939 PolishThe family of farmers at lunch bread - cooked potatoes with milk - in a village in front of Govarczov. The poverty of farmers is indescribable. On pieces of furniture there were only two bedplaces with straw, a bench and two chairs. People had on their Sunday utensils to save it easier. The recording is not set. I wanted to wash myself by a short rest at the well when I saw the pretty picture through the window and then quickly took the shot from the door.
