A copper-alloy coin weight for double crown of James I's 2nd coinage, revalued, 1604-1619 (see Withers and Withers 1995: 13).The weight is double-sided and square in plan. The obverse bears the relief-stamped portrait of the king, crowned, facing right, and has the legend 'IR-BRI'. On the reverse is a crown above the value 'XIs' (11 shillings), with a crowned letter 'I' stamped in the top right-hand corner. Width/length: 15.4mm; thickness: 2.9mm. Weight: 4.7g.
