A silver halfcrown of Charles I, AD1625-1649. Obverse shows unclear crowned king mounted on horseback left holding raised sword in front of head and through legend - Group IV equestrian portrait. Obverse legend reads CAROLVS.[D:]G:MAG:[BRI]:FRA:[..ET]HIB:REX. Obverse initial mark is a star (six pointed) (AD1640-1641). Reverse shows oval garnished shield. Reverse legend reads CHRISTO.[A]VSPICE.REGNO. Reverse initial mark is a star (six pointed) (AD1640-1641). Die axis is 12 o'clock. Weight is 14.67g, diameter is 34.00, thickness is 2.07mm.
