A copper-alloy as of Julia Mamaea dating to the period AD 222 to 235 (Reece period 11). FELICITAS PVBLICA S C reverse type depicting Felicitas standing front, head left, legs crossed, holding caduceus and leaning on column. Mint of Rome. RIC IV, Pt II, p. 125, no. 677.The coin has been modified to form a pendant. The circumference of the coin has been clipped, creating a small, circular suspension loop, which is now broken. The PAS has recently recorded several examples of modified coinage, including several denarii of Severan women which have been clipped around the portrait, possibly for insertion into a medallion or similar.
