A copper alloy as, probably of Vespasian (AD 69-79) (Reece Period 4), PROVIDENT S C, Altar. Mint unclear. For general type, see RIC II, plate 35, no. 448 passim. This type was struck at Lyon and Rome. It was also struck for Titus and Domitian as Caesar under Vespasian, but the portrait appears to be for Vespasian.
