Copper alloyLocket, as identified by finder. Pressed metal locket in the form of a book with covers hinged; the 'pages' comprise a folded sheet forming the frame for an oval portrait. Both internal and external surfaces are decorated with a stamped floral scheme. The stub of a suspension loop is retained on the upper edge of the inner 'page', and a tiny catch engages a slot on the back 'cover'. The various components move freely, although the locket can no longer be securely closed.
