ROMAN COIN

270

CC0 — Public Domain
The Portable Antiquities Scheme

Incomplete copper alloy Roman irregular radiate. The coin is unusual in that it is double headed with an obverse portrait on either side. One side has a right facing radiate portrait of the emperor Victorinus, [...]TORINVS[...]; and the other a right facing portrait of Tetricus I, [...]C TET[...]. Although of good style the coin appears to be the product of irregular coining. Circa 270-285 AD.
