The Portable Antiquities Scheme

A silver post Medieval coin; a groat of Henry VIII, second issue with a fleur-de-lis mint mark (1529-32). The obverse bares a portrait facing right, similar to Henry VII, with saltire stops in legend. The coin was minted in London. Measures 24.9mm diameter x 0.9mm, weighing 2.55g. For reference see North vol.2, 1797.
