Grev Brahe's portrait is mentioned as the only portrait among the streetviews and other daguerreotypes. Magnus Brahe (1790-1844), Swedish count and offisser in the nearest circles round king Karl Johan. This information confirms the belief that few daguerreotype portraits were made in Scandinavia prior to 1842. He was portrayed by Derville in profile in a daguerreotype made in 1844 in Stockholm. The profile slyle was needed in order to make a medal and the daguerreotype survived to our time in Skoklosters Slott in Sweden. http://skoklostersslott.se/sv/daguerreotypen
