Portrait of Jan Heweliusz (Joannes Hevelius, 1611 - 1687), brewer, councilor of the Old Town in the Gdańsk City Council, scholar astronomer, constructor of measuring and astronomical instruments, talented in the field of rituals, optics and mechanics by A. Stecha. He comes from the collection of Prof. Stanisław Gierszewski. Original in the Gdańsk Library of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Oe 99, adl.23 (attached to the printing of funeral sermon given by A.Barth at the funeral of Heweliusz)
