Page of ephemera concerning the Surrey Rotunda, Blackfriars Road, London, which after 1823 became a place of entertainment, lecture hall, etc. The page includes two portraits of Miss Macauley, an actress who performed there, and a notice advertising an 'Equitable Exchange Bank' to be held in the building. This was a bartering forum in which men could exchange goods and/or labour without the use of money. Miss Macauley lectured on the subject every Wednesday evening.
