Portrait of Wilhelm His Jr, Swiss anatomist, Professor of Anatomy at Berlin 1907-1926. Described in 1893 of the "bundle of His", the atrioventricular bundle of muscle fibres in the heart which help to communicate a single rhythm of contraction to all parts of the heart.
