A soft buff sandstone carving of a long haired male head looking left. The fragments are probably a label stop from a hood moulding. Only some curling hair, part of the brow, one eye, the nose and part of the neck survive. Although well proportioned the detail is very worn and may have been external decoration. The hairstyle is reminiscent of those seen on coins of Edward I to Henry VII and so comes from this medieval period,
