Copper alloy object probably 17th-18th century possibly a seal matrix with what appear to be a glass setting with engraving of the letter 'B' which is probably the initial of the owner. The pierced lug that would act as a suspension loop.. Seal matrixes were commonly used in the medieval, as many people were illiterate and needed to mark legal documents. The copper alloy seals often date from the 12th – 15th centuries. The length is 15mm, the width 15mm, thickness 12mm and weight 2.97g.
