Medieval composite strap-end with sheet spacer occupying the full width, and fourth element consisting of a cast front part of the knop, with transverse groove, opposed cut-outs and foliar terminal. There are two other pairs of cut-outs near the knop in the sides of the other three elements. Rivet though the knop and near the attachment edge, on which there are two small V-shaped cut-outs. On the front sheet plate there is a median line made up of punched dashes and series of oblique lines of rocker-arm engraving, running for varying lengths. Length 54.5mm. Width at attachment edge 12mm, tapering to 10mm before knop. very similar to an example from Norwich (Norwich Households no. 234). Length of spacer 40mm. Second half 14th century.
