Slightly bent fragment of a medieval copper alloy buckle frame, one edge only, flat-sectioned with a rabbet at both junctions with the sides, probably from a double-looped frame, both loops ovoid. The front is decorated with a wavy line and short lengths of rocker-arm engraving. Width of frame more than 47mm.Of the same general form as a complete example from Morley, Norfolk (HER 29929, NMS-C141C6), a fragment from Tacolneston, Norfolk (HER 37681, NMS-AC2292) and another from Roudham, Norfolk (NMS-C268B0), it is related to a more common and smaller type with rectangular loops (Fingerlin 1971, 185, Abb. 301; Whitehead 2003, no. 482; London Museum Medieval Catalogue pl.
