Medieval gilt copper alloy mount, a bar with a rivet hole near both pointed terminal lobes. The cross-section is D-sectioned with the centre of the front convex face flattened, except at three square, flat-topped bosses, each of which is decorated with cross-hatched engraving. From some form of strap, a harness or sword belt, and stylistically related to pendant suspension mounts such as examples from London (Griffiths N. in Clark 1995, fig. 52). Length 66mm. Width 7.5mm. Thickness 4.5mm. c.1250 - c.1400.
