Post-medieval copper alloy, composite, tongue-shaped strap-end. The copper alloy rear part is integral with the sides while the front part is separate. There is a single rivet hole near the rounded attachment edge. A silver sheet decorated with symmetrically arranged curvilinear, foliar, engraving inlaid with niello is attached, probably by solder, to the front, while traces of the solder on the reverse suggests that it too was covered. 19 x 13mm. 16th century, perhaps within the first half.
