Middle Saxon to Late Saxon copper alloy hooked tag with two attachment holes in the triangular plate. Within contour lines of finely executed interrupted rocker-arm engraving giving the appearance of tiny addorsed triangles there are five punched ring-and-dots. Length 20mm. Width 14mm. Thickness 1mm. Read 2008, Class A type 1. The engraved decoration can be seen on an example from Stiffkey, Norfolk (ibid., 11 no. 35, HER 1867, NMS-4B2380). 8th - 11th century.
