The slightly bent front part of a trapezoidal sheet buckle plate with a pin slot, three rivet holes, a slightly concave inside edge, and rocker-arm engraving along edges and sides and traces of white-metal coating. On the reverse several oblique engraved lines and two engraved letters B I, probably secondary, as would not have visible when the buckle was attached to the strap. Length 45mm. Width 16.5mm, tapering to 15mm at the fold. 13th – 14th century.
