Probable strap-end. The upper plate has an incurved attachment end with a single well-concealed copper-alloy rivet. At the other end the ?strap-end is broken at two rectangular slots. The three projections between the slots each have a short longitudinal engraved line. Just before the slots is a zone of decorative engraving consisting of two double-line chevrons in a zigzag line between two pairs of transverse grooves. The pair of grooves closest to the slots is engraved over two more very well concealed copper-alloy rivets. There is a separate backplate. The object measures 13.5 x 22 mm.
