One loop from a double-looped buckle frame. The surviving loop is flat and rectangular, 41 mm wide, with the bar missing (old breaks); the surviving length is just 18 mm. The outer edge is 6 mm wide and the top and bottom edges are 3-4 mm wide. All are decorated with widely spaced oblique grooves each made up of a pair of parallel strokes of the engraving tool. There is a white-metal coating which has now decayed on both faces to a grey patina with shiny patches. Two similar examples, nos. 447 and 450 in Egan and Pritchard 1991, come from late 14th-century and 15th-century contexts.
