Composite strap-end made from two sheets of copper alloy. The underplate is much thicker than the upper plate, and has survived better; it is 37 mm long and 9 mm wide. The upper plate is attached by a single separate copper-alloy rivet at the attachment end, and another close to the terminal. It is decorated with a saltire of rocker-arm engraving at the attachment end, and one long edge is very fragmentary. Both sheets are cut into a trefoil terminal. 14th century.
