Medieval/Post-Medieval finger ring of copper alloy with an engraved bezel. It is complete although slightly distorted, and is covered in a red patina and some green corrosion product. It measures 21x20x13.6mm, has an internal diameter of 15x17.6mm and weighs 3.69g.The slender hoop is D-shape in cross section (2x2.6mm) and widens to 2x13.6mm as the bezel is approached. A single groove provides a border the to engraving, much of which is obscured by corrosion. However, the decoration was curvilinear, and the outline of a small circle can be distinguished.These rings were popular from 15th century and through the Post-Medieval period (Read 1988).
