Collection of ten stereo daguerreotypes in original box by Carpenter and Westley, 24 Regent Street, London, whose mark is stamped on the sliding lid of a polished wooden box. Attributed to T R Williams

Lower half only of case, breaking apart and glass loose within it. Fragile. There is a complex design based on an oval on the reverse of the case, of which the leather is stained and worn.

Full length portrait of Ruffham Collett, one of Thomas Thurlow's workmen. Sitting on a saw horse cross-legged, he wears boots, trousers, waistcoat, shirt and neckerchief. He is clean shaven with a full head of hair. To his right on the saw horse is a plasterer's float and a pick axe. He holds a cigarette in his left hand and a trowel in his right hand. On his left there is a broom and a hod with his hat on the tip of the handle. Behind the saw horse appears to be a mirror with reflections in it. Wooden floor.

This man was a doctor, wrote a book on Diabetes Mellitus, and is buried in Kent in Deptford Churchyard with other members of his family.
