Krigare iklädd romersk rustning. Mannen har kort krusigt skägg och långa mustascher samt är iförd en plymagerad bredbrättad hatt med nedhängande flikar av hjässkydd. Huvudet och överkroppen är vridna mot vänster. Rustningens nedre del tycks bestå av en enkel kjol- eller kiltliknande klädnad ovanpå tunikan, utan skyddande läderflikar och metallskenor. I vänster hand håller mannen en oval sköld med bred ram, ytterst prydd av en enkel, snodd bård. Vid vänster sida skymtar en kroksabel eller dylikt. Benen är stövelklädda. Skulpturen och bakstycket är snidade i ett stycke. Armarna, varav en saknas är snidade separat och har suttit fästade vid bålen med dymlingar. Bakstycket är profilsvängt och baksidan är slät. Nedtill är bakstycket framdraget så att det bildas en kraftig sockel på vilken figuren står. Sockeln är på sidorna dekorerad med ett rutmönster. Bakstycket fortsätter snett uppåt och bildar en bred platta ovanför krigarens huvud. Skulpturen är delvis fragmentarisk. Höger arm saknas och fotpartiet är kraftigt skadat. Text in English: Warrior clad in Roman armour, with short, curly beard and long moustache, wearing a broad-brimmed, plumed hat with hanging ear or head flaps. The head and torso are twisted slightly to the left. The lower section of the armour appears to consist of a simple skirt or kilt-like garment over a tunic, without protective leather flaps and metal plates. The figure holds in its hand a broad framed, oval shield, decorated at the edge with twisted braid ornamentation. A sabre or similar weapon can just be seen on the left side. The figure is wearing boots. The sculpture is carved from a single piece of wood, except for the arms which are carved separately and attached to the trunk with dowels. The figure is placed in front of a profiled back-board, carved all in a piece with the figure, and with a smooth reverse side, which is drawn forward at the bottom to form a robust base upon which the figure stands. The sides of the base are decorated with a checkered pattern. At the top the back-board continues above the heads to form a wide plate-like section over the warriors'' head. The sculpture is somewhat fragmentary. The right arm is missing and the foot section is badly damaged.
