Krigare iklädd romersk rustning. Figuren har långa mustascher, skägg och långt krusigt hår samt är iförd en slät hjälm med smala, uppvikta kanter. Rustningens nederdel är utformad med dubbla lager rundade eller svagt spetsade flikar över tunikan. Med vänster hand håller mannen ett svagt böjt blåsinstrument med markerade hål. Med höger hand håller han en lång, brinnande fackla, prydd med ett snett virat band. Facklan och bandet är snidade ihop med kroppen. Huvudet hålls frontalt och kroppstyngden förefaller vila lika mycket på bägge benen. Figuren är snidad i två delar. Bålens vänstra del inklusive vänster arm och ben samt en del av ståplattan är snidad separat och fastgjord vid den övriga delen av kroppen med trädymlingar och spikar. Figuren står diagonalt mot bakstycket, vändande höger skuldra och höger del av ryggen mot bakstycket. Ses figuren frontalt framstår bakstycket snett i förhållande till figuren. Sockeln är obetydlig och helt slät samt saknar dekor. Skulpturen är relativt sliten och finare detaljer är utplånade. The figure holds a slightly curved wind instrument in his left hand and the valve holes on the instrument are marked. In his right hand he has a long, burning torch, decorated with a diagonally twisted band or strap and carved as one piece with the body. The head is facing forward and the weight of the body appears to rest equally on both feet. The figure was carved in two sections. The left section of the trunk, including the left arm and leg plus a section of the foot base, were carved separately, see No. 05880, and attached to the rest of the body in the middle with wooden dowels and nails. The position of the figure in relation to the backboard is quite unusual. The figure stands at an angle in relation to backboard and thus when observed from the front the figure stands sideways in relation to the backboard. The base is small and smooth without any decoration. The sculpture is rather worn and the finer details have disappeared.
